come find me.

DAY SEVEN - Beyond Avoidance

What should you have done this year but didn’t because you were too scared, worried, unsure, busy or otherwise deterred from doing? (Bonus: Will you do it?)

I actually think 2011 was my biggest year of being who I am and not having regrets. The first thing that came to mind when I thought of something I didn't do in 2011 that I wanted to do more of was traveling but I don't really have any power over that because I have no money. I really miss traveling. It has always been such a big part of my life. But I definitely think I am going to try to be more adventurous in 2012 though. I've never been one to sit around and not tell people my feelings for them so that won't be an issue but I think I'll try to do more of that. Also greetings from St George! I am basically done with my semester, just have an online final and a portfolio to turn in on Monday. So happy :)

hi, i suck at blogging...

sorry.

Really though...I am sorry I haven't been updating this as regularly as you have all grown accustomed to. Although, that being said, I had 3 comments on my last entry because I wasn't updating as much so HA! I beat the system...or something...

Well let's do a quick life update from when we last spoke shall we? Okay here we go. Patrick came home from Greece! Yay! It was a joyous reunion. We spent a lot of time together and he gave me presents! But him being back was the best present of all. (end sappiness).

I also got a job! Finally! After a year of searching my lovely pal Rachel hooked me up with a receptionist job at a salon. She also works there too but sadly we won't ever work together because they only need one receptionist at a time. But it's all good! So most of my week was basically me training and trying to figure it all out. I sound like an idiot but it actually is kinda difficult at once and my anxiety kinda kicks in and I really don't wanna mess up anyone's schedules! But I'll get the hang of it I'm sure...

So that brings us to this weekend. I have been in sunny St George/Las Vegas since Thursday and it has been well...great and boring. Vegas was really fun because we got a lot of shopping done and ate delicious food and what not but St George has been super boring. I got some sun by the pool yesterday and I guess I missed a lot of spots with sunblock because I'm pretty burned. Seriously, it's embarrassing. Like my left foot is burned and a little patch before my hairline. I look like a fool. Umm...yeah other than that it's been super boring down here and I've just been missing my friends a lot. Especially because the last time I was in St George they were all with me and by comparison it has not been even close to the same!

Anyway, sorry this was kinda a boring life update blog. I'll try to be more artsy and thoughtful at some point but now is not the time. Love you all.

i don't always pour beer on byu fans, but when i do i pour dos equis ;)

So I’m skipping my daily blog challenge entry for today because something a million times more amazing happened today.

WE BEAT BYU!!

And we probably shouldn’t have hahaha but whatever I will freaking take it. We played like crap…but if we play like crap and can still beat BYU then wtf is wrong with them? Hahaha anyway!

So basically I was down in St George and my tv sucks down there so I don’t get channels like the Mountain orrr CBS College so my father and I ventured to a sports bar. In this sports bar they nicely segregated us by who we were cheering for. It wasn’t totally obvious but they did ask us who we wanted when we walked in…although I think I looked pretty red and black but you know whatever haha. But anyway so basically the game kinda sucked for us poor U fans until the 4th quarter so after the 3rd quarter my dad got bored and was like “This is looking pretty bad…we should probably just leave” so we get in the car and try to find it on the radio. Of course the only station we can find is Cougar radio so we listen to this excruciatingly biased broadcast get home and come to find the rest of the fam listening to the same broadcast which seriously was so hilarious. They glossed over anything Utah did and went sooo over the top for anything those stupid kittens did. Seriously at the very end when we won they were like “kickwasblockedutahwins” like all in one breath and super mumbled it was AWESOME. Also jumping out of my chair and screaming and my mom glaring at me was fun.

It is not easy being from a blended BYU/Utah family trust me. Hahahaha.

Anyway I am just too happy and can’t even think about anything else right now.

Also some of my besties were on tv!

Hahahaha. Love you guys.

Also my friend Rhiannon was but she was like, on the news hahaha and I couldn’t find a video but I love my friends and their love of the Utes hahaha. Seriously so happy right now.

sunburns hurt.

Spring break has been amazing so far! I kicked it off early leaving Logan Thursday afternoon and made the trek back home with my bff Sarah Dawn Day. After that I hung out with my sister then we went to dinner at my lovely neighbor's home. Then I accompanied Georgia to Costco which was an adventure and a half as it always is.
Friday I spent kicking it at my house til Katy got home from school and then we had a sushi dinner followed by some Taco Bell because I was still hungry (I know I mix all kinds of food, don't judge me) thennn we went driving all over the valley which was way rad. I love my sister.
Saturday was the flower auction for Primary Children's at the Spring Home and Garden Festival so I was volunteering with that all day which was kinda fun but mostly boring. Luckily I got some pretty flowers out of it that I'll post when I feel like finding my camera cord.
Sunday was church as usual then my mom and I drove down to St George where we spent the evening eating In N Out burger and watching Dreamgirls on tv.
Daylight Savings messed up my sleeping schedule (which isn't stellar to begin with) which resulted in me sleeping until about 11:30 today but I'm on spring break so who cares right? So my mom and I hung around our house for a bit then decided to pig out on food and lay out by the pool for a couple hours. We were dumb and realized we had no sunblock but we'd only lay out for a bit so it wouldn't be too bad. We were wrong. I am super super sunburned but I only have myself to blame so I won't complain about it too much. I look like a fool though and I'm sure I'll feel even dumber when I have skin cancer in 20 years but it's okay I guess. The world is ending soon anyway right? Eh, eh? Haha, just kidding but yeah. After realizing I was a total lobster my mom and I went to dinner at Pancho and Lefty's which is a lovely Mexican restaurant that turned out to only be so so. Pancho and Lefty are also the names of my brother's old cats which is the main reason why I wanted to eat there over the other Mexican restaurants in town but we won't go into that. Next we hit up Old Navy and scored some shirts and stuff for only $5. Then we went to this random outlet store and got myself this adorable vest then decided to go to Wal Mart and stock up on junk food and sunblock for our next sun tanning venture tomorrow. After all that running around we settled in and ate some lava cake and watched our Monday night television. It's been fantastic. I love spring break. Sitting around and relaxing is great, and I love my family. Expect another update soon, hopefully with pictures.

Yay March

Five Great Things About March Thus Far (in no particular order):

1) The Return of Gossip Girl!
It has been on hiatus since early December but our favorite overly dramatic, gorgeous, privileged Upper East Siders are back! I am thrilled, finally Mondays can be worthwhile again. Actually, Greek has been on on Mondays for awhile which is an awesome show too but GG is just great. I'm thrilled. And in love with Chace Crawford.

2) Spring Break
I have Spring Break next week and I am thrilled. I get to escape the barely thawing out soggy spring time in Logan and escape to my second home in St George for a few days. Hopefully take in some much needed Vitamin D and overall feel a lot better about the world. Ha!

3) Easter candy
Okay, I think Easter candy has been on shelves since February 15th because it's the next major holiday but I'm still pumped about it. Easter candy is some of the best candy. I am obsessed with Reese's eggs. I don't know why the egg shape tastes so much better than the normal shape but it totally does. And of course, Cadbury eggs those are delicious too.

4) Daylight Savings
On March 14th we get to spring forward! Which means we get an extra hour of sunlight as the days are growing longer and we are getting closer and closer to summer. Joy! Also March 14th is my little nephew's birthday. What an awesome day.

5) Women's history month
March is women's history month, as a woman I find that pretty cool. Women are great. We are strong, graceful, beautiful, and powerful. We even had the first woman to win best director in the Academy Awards the other night. Might I suggest some estrogen fueled girls nights this month? I think that should definitely be in order. Girl power!

lately...

Wow...I haven't written on here in over a month.
Well pretty much my life is just chill. I do homework and watch the Olympics. I am extremely obsessed with the Olympics. I will watch any event with any country.
By far my favorite Olympic moment so far was Shaun White's gold medal half pipe event. Sooo amazing. I love him♡
I also have been loving the ice skating/ice dancing. That's really great.
And Canada is sooo beautiful. I'm definitely getting dual citizenship there. It is officially on my bucket list.

I'm also way excited for spring break. I'm heading down to St George and it'll be warmer and sunny (hopefully). Ahhh. Cannot wait.

Well hopefully I'll start writing on here more.
But don't hate me if I don't! :)
